The 300-Yard Shuttle is hand-timed with stopwatches. Standard track and field rounding rules are used: ._1 is rounded down to the nearest tenth, ._2 and over is rounded up to the next tenth. The average time is of two trials with a 5-minute recovery between each one.

Can you tell me how you run your 300 yard shuttle? 6×50, 12×25, etc?
Thank you.
We use what I think is the official protocol. Two lines 25 yards apart, and then go down and back 6 times. It’s short enough where it can be run on a basketball court. The important part is that you run it twice with exactly 5:00 minute recovery in between trials and then you average the two times. That way you have to run hard both times. You can’t run a fast one first and then jog the second one. Both runs count and are averaged. I post the single times too, and that is the first trial for probably everyone there but they still ran a hard second one which is why most are on both lists.
